Join this fashion law report that explores the controversies shaping African fashion and the launch of the continent’s first-ever Fashion Law Casebook, a publication spotlighting the legal disputes shaping Africa’s dynamic fashion industry. The event will feature a keynote conversation with fashion lawyer Liz Lenjo to launch the casebook and unpack some pressing legal disputes and the future of African fashion.

The CRAFTED Report: Launching the Artisans’ Index by League of Artisans 

This event will focus on the launch of CRAFTED, a report revealing the hidden environmental risks in artisan supply chains across fashion and homeware brands. You will learn about the Artisans Index, a benchmark of how 50 global brands disclose the environmental impacts of artisan production in their supply chains. Research will also be presented on the CRAFTED Report, which relied on fieldwork with artisan communities, scientific analysis, environmental data, and supply chain mapping to spotlight risks. This workshop will explore the eco-emotions through the lens of story with the help of Story Strategist, Rachel Malena-Chan. She will help us turn our personal and public climate stories to foster change through facilitated activities and prompts. Consider joining if you want to practice sitting with, sharing, and moving through our eco-emotions to find your place in a bigger, brighter climate story.

Join this CoDesign Collaborative event for a virtual, student-led lightning talk about legislative policy as a catalyst for textile waste reduction. You will be able to explore the intersection of sustainable fashion and policy by learning how designers can play an active role in shaping and implementing systemic change.
