Join this international online symposium exploring the role of art in the Anthropocene. You will be able to explore the artistic practices can help reckon with ecologies of violence in times of ecocide and genocide. Different art, design, and activism will be showcased, and how they converge to challenge environmental violence in the context of coloniality and reimagine just and sustainable futures. You will be able to hear from artists, activists, designers, and scholars who will share the way their creative praxes critically engage with the entangled pasts, presents, and futures of ecological violence and resistance in contexts of (settler) colonial violence. Attend if you want to hear from their creative practices and reflect on how to challenge extractivist logics, reclaim ancestral knowledge systems, and explore radical possibilities for more just and sustainable futures.
