Dressed to Oppress: Unraveling the Threads of Control & Consent by Women’s Support Network of York Region
Join if you want to learn about dress code policies and how they are not preventive measures, but in fact, are catalysts for sexual violence, victim blaming, and encourage rape myth culture. The session was inspired by the “What Were You Wearing” exhibition and will use research-based inquiries and feminist principles to bring awareness to this common, yet misdirected issue.
