This event will center around Sophia Scott from Groundtruth Global and Genia Mineeva from Been London. They will share their personal sustainable fashion journey, how they built their business and how they have remained sustainable.

Ethical Fashion Workshop - Bianca Flint -The Wardrobe Green - Op Shop Style by Grampians Central West Waste and Resource Recovery Group

This event will center around Bianca Flint from The Wardrobe Green at the Op Shop. Flint is a sustainable fashion stylist and Op shopper that resells quality preloved clothing. She will provide insight of how to dress stylishly.

Sustainability Speaker Series: Is There Such a Thing as Sustainable Fashion? by Cranfield Sustainability Network 

This event will focus on bringing awareness of different possibilities around sustainable fashion. Panelists will include resale/rental businesses, fashion retailers and campaigners that will explore how sustainable fashion can take shape and how consumers can have a role in it.

Digitalising Sustainable Clothing Consumption by University of Glasgow and ESRC Festival of Social Sciences

This event will host an expert panel that will explore the issues and opportunities found in the fashion industry. Special focus will be placed on digitalizing sustainable fashion consumption.

Renting consumer goods: sustainable consumption in a post-Covid world? by Cardiff University ESRC IAA

This event will explore attitudes, drivers and barriers in the rental service market. Three consumer-focused studies will be presented by the British Academy/Leverhulme Trust and two rental businesses will be featured. In addition, a reflection of how COVID-19 impacted the rental services will be included. Attendees were will be able to participate in interactive polls and in the Q&A session.

Luxury Fashion Equilibrium: Marketing Strategy and Sustainable Innovation by The Center for Social Impact and Innovation at Glasgow Caledonian New York College

This event will be led by Professor Natascha Radclyffe-Thomas EdD. She is a professor in Marketing and Sustainable Business at the British School of Fashion, GCU London. Radclyffe-Thomas will discuss the impact of COVID-19 on the global luxury fashion industry and its implications. Marketing strategy and sustainable innovation examples making the luxury fashion sector better will be presented.

This event will center around Francois van den Abeele and his story around sustainable fashion, plastic waste and Sea2See. It will specifically cover his journey of turning plastic waste into a profitable business that produces eyewear and watches.

This event will explore how the design industry is using waste to bridge design and sustainability and how it can be used to create to new things. Learning objectives include understanding the benefits of circular economy design, exploring the idea of waste being design currency, identifying new and innovative materials that supports a sustainable future and analyzing new sustainable design processes.

This event will explore how combining technology, bio-material and craft can fix waste issues in the fashion industry. PhD researcher Oonagh O’Hagan and bio-designer Cassie Quinn will discuss this with the aim of envisioning a new fashion world.
